Abstract: An analytical design method of leaking mode free, large bandwidth, hollow-core all-silica Bragg fibers is reported that takes into account the effective refractive index change of the air layers caused by silica struts.

Abstract: Numerical simulations by the vector finite element method show that the dispersion slope of all-silica hollow-core Bragg photonic bandgap fibers can be adjusted by structural modification of a standard quarter wave cylindrical stack design.
