An analytical design method of leaking mode free, large bandwidth, hollow-core
all-silica Bragg fibers is reported that takes into account the effective refractive index change
of the air layers caused by silica struts.

Numerical simulations by the vector finite element method show that the
dispersion slope of all-silica hollow-core Bragg photonic bandgap fibers can be adjusted by
structural modification of a standard quarter wave cylindrical stack design.
